Read the Fine Print

What if we've been missing the most powerful part of our salvation story? This message challenges us to read the fine print of our covenant with God. Drawing from Acts 19:1-2, we discover that even believers can miss out on the fullness of what Christ provided. The disciples Paul encountered had accepted Jesus but hadn't even heard there was a Holy Spirit. How many of us are living the same way today? We celebrate forgiveness and look forward to heaven, but we're ignoring the Helper who lives inside us right now. The message takes us back to Genesis, reminding us that sin didn't cause us to lose heaven—we lost our dominion on earth. We lost our connection to God's Spirit who once walked with humanity in the garden. Jesus didn't just die to prepare us for eternity later; He came to restore what was lost: our relationship with God, our kingdom assignment, and God's Spirit dwelling in us forever. When Jesus breathed on the disciples in John 20 and said 'receive the Holy Spirit,' He was running it back to Genesis, restoring what Adam lost. The same breath that gave life to the first man now restores power to every believer. We're not meant to live waiting to escape earth for heaven—we're called to bring heaven's rule to earth through the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through us.
