Now Lead

What does it truly mean to follow Jesus? Not just attend church, not just know the right words, but actually follow him through every season of life? This message walks us through one of the most clarifying frameworks for understanding the Christian journey. Drawing from Matthew 4:18-20, where Jesus calls his first disciples with the simple but profound invitation to follow him, we are shown that discipleship is not a single moment but a living, breathing process. The four movements of that process are coming to Jesus, staying close to him, growing through transformation, and leading others. Each phase builds on the last, and none can be skipped without consequence. The message challenges us to honestly identify where we are in the process rather than assume we have arrived. Are we still trying to hold onto our old lives while claiming to follow? Are we connected to the vine but refusing to grow up? Are we mature enough to lead but withholding that leadership from others who need it? The spiritual insight here is both convicting and freeing. Purpose is not something we manufacture through effort or strategy. It is something we walk into naturally when we stay close to Jesus. The closer we are to him, the more clearly we see who we are and what we are called to do.
