Do you know Him?
What does it mean to truly know the Holy Spirit, not just know about him? This message takes us on a journey beyond the surface-level understanding of the Spirit as a force or a blessing dispenser, and invites us into something far more profound: a genuine, personal relationship with God himself. Drawing from John 14, we explore the moment Jesus prepares his disciples for his departure, introducing the Holy Spirit not as a replacement or a lesser substitute, but as God fully present, dwelling not just alongside us but within us. The central revelation here is that the Holy Spirit is not an assistant or a spiritual utility we call upon when we need directions. He is God. He speaks, he teaches, he guides, he loves, and he can be grieved. When we reduce him to a power source we tap into for blessings, we miss the person entirely. The invitation being extended to us is to stop grabbing and going, and instead to settle into a relationship where we seek his presence before we seek his provision. The fruit we so desperately want in our lives, whether that is provision, peace, or purpose, is produced naturally through connection, not through striving. The vine produces fruit through the branch, not the other way around. If we walk away from this message with one thing, let it be this: the Holy Spirit already knows everything about us and still chooses to stay. That kind of love deserves more than a casual nod. It deserves our full surrender.
