I know I've been Changed
What does it truly mean to be transformed rather than simply improved? This message digs into one of the most misunderstood realities of the Christian life: that genuine change is not something we manufacture through willpower or behavior modification, but something the Holy Spirit produces in us as we keep our gaze fixed on Jesus. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 3:17-18, where Paul describes how beholding the glory of the Lord causes us to be changed into that same image from glory to glory, we are reminded that the order matters deeply. Contemplation comes first, and transformation follows. The more we fix our attention on who Jesus is, the more we naturally begin to resemble him, not because we are trying harder, but because we are looking longer. This is the paradox at the heart of spiritual growth: surrender produces freedom, and proximity to Christ produces the fruit that no amount of self-discipline alone can grow.
