Come to Me
What does it look like to truly hand over our burdens to God rather than just praying for them to disappear? This message takes us deep into Matthew 11:28-30, where Jesus extends one of the most personal invitations in all of Scripture, calling the weary and heavy-laden to come to him for rest. And not just any rest, but the kind that comes from walking alongside someone who can actually bear the weight. We explore four movements embedded in that invitation: come, bring, take, and walk. Each one challenges us to rethink how we approach God in our hardest moments. Rather than treating Jesus like a vending machine for relief, we are invited into a genuine exchange, dropping off what is crushing us and receiving something we can actually carry and grow from. The message draws a striking distinction between praying a burden away and trusting God through it, reminding us that sometimes the very weight we want removed is the thing shaping us into who we need to become.
