Am I A Disciple
This powerful teaching challenges us to move beyond simply being Christians who attend church to becoming true disciples of Jesus Christ. Drawing from Matthew 28:19-20, we're reminded that Jesus didn't commission us to make church members or casual believers, He commanded us to make disciples. The distinction is crucial: while the world believes in God, even demons believe, but disciples follow Jesus daily by denying themselves and taking up their cross. We learn that discipleship involves a transformative journey of following Jesus, growing spiritually, and multiplying by helping others do the same. The message emphasizes that Jesus taught the kingdom over 100 times in the Gospels, yet many of us have spent our entire lives in church without truly understanding this central theme. We're equipped with the Holy Spirit, which means our transformation doesn't require three and a half years like the original disciples, we have immediate access to divine power. The call is clear: surrender fully, seek God first, and trust that everything we need will be added to our lives. This isn't about earning blessings through good behavior; it's about aligning ourselves with God's kingdom agenda and allowing Him to work through us to touch a world desperately in need of His love.
